TERMS & CONDITIONS

Terms and Conditions for all experience days and courses.

  1. Completion of a course booking (through social media, email or over the phone) creates a binding agreement to follow the course and pay the full fee no later than the course start date.

  2. Registration Requirements

    1. You do not need any prior experience or certifications to register for our Level 1 Certification Course, 3 Month Crash Course or Desert Experience Course.

    2. Bahrain Falconry School Level 1 Certification of Completion or any other falconry qualification of a similar level is required for you to be able to join our Level 2 Certification Course – Apprenticeship

    3. Bahrain Falconry School Level 2 Apprenticeship Certification of Completion or any other falconry qualification of a similar level is required for you to be able to join our Level 3 Certification Course – General

    4. Bahrain Falconry School Level 3 General Certification of Completion or any other falconry qualification of a similar level is required for you to be able to join our Level 4 Certification Course - Master

  3. Payments

    1. Payments for Certification Courses and 3 Month Courses are to be made at the scheduled Meet & Greet which will be approximately one week prior to the course start date.

    2. Payments for Desert Experience course can be paid for on the day.

    3. Payments accepted in cash only.

    4. Fees once paid are non-refundable.

  4. Booking & Cancelation

    1. You may reschedule a desert experience date booked with more than one week, (7 days) notice.

    2. You may discontinue a course at any time however; fees once paid are non-refundable.

    3. BFS reserves the right to cancel the day due to adverse weather. In this instance participants will be booked on the next available day.

    4. BFS will endeavour to inform participants with 48 hours’ notice or any cancellation but this isn't always possible.

    5. If you are late you will lose that portion of the day, it will not be repeated, as it is not fair to the other course members.

  5. Change of venue

    1. Should the venue for a course change, participants will be informed as soon as possible and we will ensure every measure possible is taken to indicate such changes.

    2. Please check that you are familiar with the new location of the course venue in advance of the session. If you are unsure, contact our staff at least 48 hours before the course date.

  6. Liability

    1. BFS cannot be held responsible for damage and/or loss to your personal possessions.

  7. Health and Safety – A first aid kit will be available at all times in the unlikely event of an accident. Our Instructor is also a medical doctor.

  8. Your responsibilities

    1. You accept that the courses have a practical component to them. By agreeing to these terms and conditions you take personal responsibility for your own actions. You must at all times work within your own ability and scope of practice.

    2. You must ensure clothing and footwear advice is adhered to.

    3. You must listen carefully to safety instructions given by the instructor.

    4. You must inform the instructing falconer of any worries or concerns regarding the experience.

    5. You must always wash hands following a bird handling session.

    6. You must be physically able to partake in the course and if you do have any injuries, discomfort or prior knowledge that is relevant to any activities being performed it is your responsibility to make those known.

    7. It is your responsibility to ensure that you are sufficiently fit and adequately equipped to partake on your chosen course. You must tell us of any medical conditions at the time of booking. If for any reason you are not in a suitable condition to attend or complete a course or are under the influence of drink or drugs the facilitator may ask you to leave the course. We will not be liable for any extra expense incurred by this and you will not be able to claim a refund.

  9. BFS reserves the right to remove any person from a course if;

    1. their behaviour is deemed by the instructor to be detrimental to the group, unsafe or adversely affecting the course and/or,

    2. they do not adhere to instructions given by falconry staff or volunteers that could endanger the birds, staff or other members of the public.

  10. Course Etiquette

    1. Late arrivals - If you know in advance that you will be arriving late, or that you will need to leave early, please contact the course provider at least 48 hours before the course date to check that this will be acceptable.

    2. Attendance and Non-attendance - If Certification Course members fail to turn up for a class (without having cancelled), this will be recorded in your log.

    3. Mobile phones must be set to silent. If you must take a call, please leave the hall/area to do so. If you are expecting an important call and would prefer not to set your phone to silent, please let the instructor know before the course starts.

  11. Children

    1. All children under 16 must be accompanied by a participating adult or guardian (who is at least 18 years of age) at all times unless otherwise agreed by the instructor.

    2. If necessary written consent may be given from a parent or guardian for others to accompany children

    3. Children under 5 years of age are not permitted to handle the birds.

  12. Complaints - Should you have a problem or complaint on your course you must bring it to the attention of our staff as soon as possible and we will try to rectify the problem. If you feel that the problem was not resolved and resulted in a much reduced enjoyment of the course you must inform us in writing within 7 days and we will respond within 7 days to resolve the matter to the satisfaction of both parties.

  13. Course Materials

    1. We will issue you with course materials and at the start of a course

    2. Basic falconry equipment such as gloves will be provided for those registering for the Certification courses.

    3. In some instances, we will provide you with ‘classroom copies’ of books and these must be returned to us at the end of the course.

    4. Some materials are also available in a Dropbox account or to download – your instructor will tell you if this is the case.

  14. Photography

    1. Photos may be taken throughout you attendance and used for marketing purposes.

    2. If you do not want your images to be used please inform us upon your arrival.

    3. Any images taken by participants must not be used for any promotional or commercial gain without prior written permission from us.

  15. Privacy - We will not pass on your personal details to any third party.
